The product treats AI agents as employees. Onboarding. Performance reviews. Access controls. Audit trails. All applied to software that acts autonomously inside your organization. This is where things get real for legal and governance teams.

The management gap is the governance gap

Most organizations deploying AI agents today are duct-taping oversight together. An agent gets API access, starts executing tasks, and the only record of what it did lives in scattered logs — if those logs even exist. Reload is betting that the management layer is the missing infrastructure.

They're probably right.

For product counsel, here's why this framing matters. When an AI agent sends an email, modifies a database, or makes a procurement decision, nobody's debating whether the company is responsible. It is. The real question is whether anyone can reconstruct what happened and why. That's an audit problem, a liability problem, and — more and more — a regulatory compliance problem. All at once.

That forces organizations to articulate success criteria, error tolerances, and escalation triggers before deployment — exactly the kind of pre-deployment discipline that most AI governance frameworks recommend and most companies skip.
